Designed for children in Kindergarten and 1st Grade who have little to no Mandarin learning background • Fun instructional activities focus on speaking • Learn to express their daily needs and describe their immediate world through interactive activities, songs, rhymes and games • Experience reading and writing some basic Chinese characters • Age-appropriate cultural components such as festivals, food, and animals relating to Chinese culture are introduced.

Designed for children in Kindergarten and 1st Grade who have had some previous Chinese learning experience at home or in a Chinese language program • Fun instructional activities include oral, reading and writing skill development through age-appealing topics • Interactive and incorporates cultural components, such as Chinese festivals, food and children's songs, and rhymes.

Mandarin Jumpstart (Gr 2-5)

Designed for students in Grade 2 and above who have little or no Mandarin learning background • Focuses on speaking Mandarin starting day one, with an introduction to reading and writing • Learn basic Chinese in meaningful context and use what is being learned for application • Develop self-confidence while developing language skills • Chinese culture is an integrated part of the curriculum.

Just Dance (Gr K-2)

Students will start with a fun and energizing warm up, learning basic floor stretching exercises to increase flexibility and posture. Students will learn exciting dance combinations and then end with a dance routine each week that will feature current songs.  Class taught by a professional dancer.  Attire: comfortable clothing, rubber soled shoes. 

Hip Hop (Gr 3-5)

A contemporary form of jazz with a sharp, street-smart edge that will add another dimension to the students' level of performance. This high energy class will focus on musicality and style as well as the history and culture of hip hop dance. This class begins with a warm-up to the newest music, followed by stretches, and a combination at the end. Class taught by a professional dancer.  Attire:  comfortable clothing, rubber soled shoes.

Students will need to have the following; A type of ball, a soccer ball ideally, but any ball would work; comfortable athletic clothing, 6 Paper Plates, or 6 Plastic Cups, or 6 plastic water bottles that will act as our cones, A laundry basket, or empty cardboard box. This will act as our nets or goals. Water bottle for hydration.
