Students will participate in all steps of a recipe and then enjoy a tasty meal. Students will bring home a cookbook at the end of the semester. Taught by certified culinary chefs. This class will be a condensed version of a full kindergarten day. Students will practice phonics to aid in reading, spelling, review sight words, writing and math curriculum. This is an excellent opportunity for your child to receive extra help in core subject areas, as well as reinforce the curriculum taught in class. All materials will be provided.

In a supervised environment, students can choose to play the latest games on Nintendo 3DS, Wii, Wii U consoles or apply their building skills using Lego® and Duplo® bricks.

Monday Class: This class is for Kindergarten students who are new to Mandarin or have had some exposure in the past. The lessons will expose students to many aspects of the Chinese Language: sound, shape, cultural context. Instruction will be theme-based and highly communicative.

Tuesday Class: This class is designed for learners in grades 1 and 2, who are new to Mandarin or have had some exposure in the past. For example if the student has taken Mandarin during afterschool in a previous semester. This class will build on topics appropriate for their age and interest, to help them develop interest in the language while making progress in understanding and speaking Mandarin. Instruction will be theme-based and highly communicative.

Group piano classes are an excellent introduction to beginner piano and basic musical concepts. Through singing and playing, students will learn music at a comfortable pace. Activities include, but not limited to, learning musical alphabet, playing games and exercises, learning basic music theory & reading music. During this course students will explore solo elementary pieces as well as piano duets with our piano instructor. Piano teacher, Ms Elisabetta will do individual assessment for each student throughout the class. Keyboard and sheet music will be provided.

Students will produce melodies from the classical repertoire and from their individual preferences. Children should be ready for some more formal understanding of written music. During this course students will explore solo elementary pieces as well as piano duets with our piano instructor. A minimum 12 months of prior keyboard instruction and knowledge of keyboard required.

Dive into the wonderful world of musical theater & acting as we explore kid-friendly stage and movie musicals culminating in a "Musicale" at the end of the semester with selections chosen by all of us, choreographed by all of us, with sets and props and costumes designed by all of us!

Traditional Japanese paper folding has evolved into a modern art form. The goal of this art is to transform a flat sheet of paper into a finished sculpture through folding and sculpting techniques. Students will learn about the basics and more of this beautiful art form.Students will bring home a different project every week. All materials provided.

LEGO® Creative Wonder for Grades K-2 This workshop uses stories & practical world application to help children learn about pre-science, children can express their creative ideas by building their own LEGO® model.
